Hello Everyone,

Happy New Year!!! Hope everyone is doing great. Sorry I have not had a chance to get a newsletter out since the end of the racing season. We have been doing a lot to get prepared for 2007, and we are heading in some new directions with the race team. We had an exciting 2006 racing season and 2007 has the making to be an exciting season for us all.

For 2007, we have taken an entirely new direction, and we will be competing with a pavement super Latemodel at Slinger Speedway for the “Rookie of the Year” Chase. We will also be racing at selected events in the ASA Midwest Touring series. Those races will be determined at a later time, but they will be run across the upper Mid-west. It has been quite some time since I have competed on the pavement, but we are surrounded with some great people with a lot of experience on the pavement, and that will help our program out tremendously. We have been working with Schwanke race engines out of Springfield, MN, and we will have a great engine program to rely on for 2007. I will have more details as the racing season gets closer.

We have also not forgotten about our dirt-racing program. Plans are in the works to compete with a dirt Latemodel in 2007. We have plans to compete at selected Fastrak racing events, with the plans to compete again in the $50,000 to win championship. We are working on hitting some of the higher paying crate events through the season and negotiations are under way to the use of a car for those events. We are also working on getting some open Latemodel events back under our belt, and hopefully getting ourselves back to the high banks of Eldora Speedway for the World 100, and other selected dirt events.

I have not had an opportunity to get a schedule together for 2007 at this time, but I should have something together in the near future.

Thanks again to all the folks that are getting behind us for the up-coming racing season. We look forward to working with MK Direct on all of our racing promotion printed paper products. For all of your printing needs contact Brian Dishaw at MK Direct, and tell them Carlson Racing sent you. www.mk-direct.com has everything for all your printing needs. We are also pleased to be associated with The Piranha Paper Shredding Company, Waukesha Recycling, and West Allis Salvage. It is also great to have Behling Racing Equipment, Integra Racing Shocks, Taylormade Proformance, and Cyco Custom solidly behind the race team for 2007.

We are still looking for sponsorship for 2007, whether it is on the dirt, or on the pavement we have opportunities available for 2007. Please contact me for more information.

Thanks again to everyone for getting behind the race team for 2007, I would not be able to do this without all of your support. We look forward to another exciting year of racing. Check out www.chriscarlsonracing.com for more news and photos as the season unwinds!
